I am a Prophetic En-Plein-Air Artist. This is what I would like to call myself!
Taking inspiration from my surroundings , I pause and tap into the beauty or dynamics of light and shade and then I connect with God The Creator. So instead of being enclosed in a church building, I am surrounded by creation which I adore!
I start by soaking in the atmosphere. I note where the light is coming from, and what shapes and colours I can see. I also see what I want in my composition. Then I set up my easel. I decide if its ‘landscape’ or ‘portrait’ , get my palette and decide which colours I want to start with. My brushes also hang alongside and my water carrier is in place.
